Our commitment
Daily Durham is designed to be readable and usable for people across Durham Region, including readers using assistive technology.
Standards we follow
The UI targets WCAG 2.2 AA, semantic landmarks, meaningful headings, high contrast, reduced motion support, and keyboard-accessible controls.
Known issues
This UI-only phase uses decorative generated scenes rather than final CMS photo assets. Final alt text will be reviewed when production media is added.
Alternate formats
Email the Daily Durham accessibility desk to request plain text, large print, or another accessible format.
Feedback
We respond to accessibility feedback within 7 business days and prioritize defects that block access to news or subscription pages.
