Whitby says nearly 10,000 attended Fieldgate Sports Complex opening

The Town of Whitby says nearly 10,000 residents, sports enthusiasts and visitors attended the September 12 opening of the Fieldgate Sports Complex.

Whitby says regular programming is underway, with drop-in swimming, skating, basketball, pickleball, badminton, volleyball and preschool activities listed among the offerings.

The Town says the facility includes a twin-pad arena, Durham’s largest aquatics centre, a double gymnasium with a walking track, and community and program spaces.
